Lowe Boats earns ISO Certification

March 2007 News

Lowe Boats was recently awarded the International Organization for Standardization 9001:2000 certification for its approach to process improvement, product quality and customer satisfaction.

ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally recognized and structured method of organizing and operating all processes that affect design, production, delivery and service of products.

The certification, which requires Lowe Boats to meet international quality management standards and guidelines, was validated by Det Norske Veritas, an internationally accredited registrar for certification.

"The ISO certification process helped integrate the principle of continuous improvement into our daily activities, as well as our relationships with our business partners and suppliers," said Nick Major, director of quality for Lowe Boats, in a statement.

Lowe Boats, based in Lebanon, Mo., joins Sea Ray, Baja and Mercury Marine in the list of Brunswick Corp. brands to be ISO 9001:2000 certified.
