Recipient of the 2007 NMEA Best of Show is the Raymarine company's Ray 218 VHF/Hailer.
Recipient of the 2007 NMEA Technician of the Year Award is Robert J. McClure, who owns McClure Marine Electronics, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
A special NMEA Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Steve Boucher, CEO/Chairman of Airmar Technology Corporation. The prestigious award presented at the NMEA Convention closing dinner, had not been given since 2002. It was awarded to Boucher by NMEA President David Hayden who noted that "The Lifetime Achievement Award honors living individuals who have improved the public good through the field of marine electronics."
All awards except the Best of Show, were determined by a vote of NMEA dealer and trade members. The Best of Show award was determined by a vote taken last month (October) at the 2007 NMEA Convention and Expo. For further information, contact the NMEA national office at: (410) 975-9425.
