Yamaha Marine University offers prizes for passing scores

November 2008 News

"To ensure dealers make the most out of the new training opportunity, Yamaha is offering dealer's employees the chance to win a number of valuable prizes," said Martin Peters, Yamaha Marine Group manager, dealer education. "Sales pros employed at an authorized Yamaha Marine dealership who achieve an overall passing score (80 and above) on the Product Training Course will be automatically entered in a drawing to win one of the ten great Yamaha products."
First prize is a Yamaha C3 Scooter, and other prizes include a Yamaha Sound System and more. Names will be drawn at random on May 1, 2009. Only one entry per qualified sales professional is eligible.
Dealers can go online under the "education" tab on YMBS and use the product training module as a refresher for the seasoned employee or to train new employees. Sales professionals will never have to leave the showroom floor. Dealers can get the training they want for employees without incurring extra travel expenses.
Please keep in mind that Yamaha now offers two training modules for sales professionals. The new YMU online product training module, as noted above, highlights the features and benefits of Yamaha's products. Participants in the online course will become experts on Yamaha outboard products including the new F250 and F40, as well as the F350, F225 "Sport Model", F9.9 and V Max Series 2.
In addition, Yamaha also offers the new YMU online sales module "No Bad Sales" that provides salespeople with a clear
process for selling. Both modules are designed to engage the student by incorporating real dealer examples and experiences. Students should expect to spend an average of two hours with each learning module.
All necessary training materials, including workbooks are available online. There is no charge for the module or the training materials.
"We are proud of these training modules, educational resources are another advantage of being a Yamaha dealer," said Peters "Education has never been so easy or so efficient."
