Veranda's Tradition of Quality

Published in the May 2009 Issue May 2009

In 2007 Veranda Marine began production of luxury pontoons in the beautiful and historic Hot Springs, Ark. Patterned after the same principles of quality and design that made sister company Xpress Boats successful for the past 42 years, Veranda continues the manufacturing tradition of offering a highest quality product at a reasonable price.

Veranda Marine is fast becoming a very popular and often-requested luxury pontoon going into its fourth year on the market. It offers six exciting series for 2009, including the VPF (privacy fish), VPRL (privacy radius lounge), VPST (privacy side table), VHT (hard top) and the VSE (special edition) and the VSE-Fishing Series.

These pontoons are all welded and are produced with the finest heavy-gauge aluminum. Each is manufactured with patented aluminum interlocking flooring system that interlocks each aluminum plank together, creating a bonded alliance. Planks are then welded together in a single unit. This makes for a sturdy and durable foundation ready to withstand years of stress and pounding.

The highlighted model here is the V25PF pontoon, a 25-foot, stylish pleasure toon that is manufactured ready for your fishing excursions. It boasts a sleek exterior and plenty of style within. It comes complete for the angler with two deluxe reclining fishing chairs, anchor and docking lights with easy-to-read gauges at the helm. It also offers stainless navigation equipment.

Other standard features include 28-oz. designer carpet, three chaise lounges, reclining deluxe helm seat with adjustable headrest, fiberglass console with vinyl wrapped dash, Sony stereo/CD with six speakers, six LED interior lights and a deluxe steering wheel. The horn also has a stainless grill. It also has a convenient boarding ladder and embroidered gated panels, and this model comes with a mooring cover. This model also has a rear entry gate and privacy room. Some of the little creature comforts include portable armrests with cup holders.

It has all the features you need including speedometer, tachometer and trim and fuel gauges. There is plenty of under-console storage as well. Construction is wood-free, and it has a welded aluminum deck.

You'll be able to bring along your favorite dozen family and friends for a fun day out on the water, however you choose to utilize this model. You can also add features such as an aerated livewell as well as a MinnKota Powerdrive 42 12-volt trolling motor to add to the standard fishing features for a boat that fishes just as great as it looks. The 37-gallon fuel tank will keep you out on the water all day.

More options include Baystar hydraulic steering (150hp or less), two- or three-bank charger, aerated livewell available under seat, a 36-quart cooler and bow filler seat. You can also get a double bimini with this model and double wide helm seat. There are also more options available for entertainment.

A Humminbird 323 Depthfinder is also available with this model.

If you want to add a trolling motor, the MinnKota Powerdrive 54 12-volt and 68 24-volt trolling motors are options. You can also add padded gate panels as well as portable armrest cup holders. A refreshment center including fridge, sink, cutting board and 12-volt outlet are also available, as well as an additional table package.

You may also want to add SeaStar hydraulic tilt steering, a ski/tow bar, snap-in carpet and stainless barbecue grill. Other options include a stainless prop upgrade, vinyl flooring and white base color upgrade. A Yamaha prerig, APT25 trailer as well as APT24-TT Trailer is available (requires the triple toon performance package).
