Analysis sees steady increase in boat demand

The latest analysis from the Cleveland-based market research firm Freedonia Group predicts an industry rebound from depressed 2009 boat sales with demand rising 9.3 percent annually to $10.1 billion in 2014.

Gains will come from a combination of increased consumer spending and disposable income coupled with a recovery in financial markets and a loosening in credit access, according to The Freedonia Group.
