Florida seeks federal money for fishing industry

Florida Gov. Charlie Crist is asking for federal assistance to help the state's fishing industry and its supporting community endure the impact of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

The governor has requested that the U.S. Dept. of Commerce take action under federal law to provide aid to commercial fishermen, charterboat operators and coastal fishing communities.
