The finest of fishing will be shared with women at the award-winning "Ladies, Let's Go Fishing!" Florida Keys weekend seminar November 12-14 at Holiday Isle Resort & Marina in Islamorada - "the sport fishing capital of the world."

Held in conjunction with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and sponsored in part byBoatUS Angler, women will gather for an exciting weekend of educational and hands-on fishing activities, habitat conservation and to meet other female anglers. The seminar provides an opportunity for the ladies to use their newly-acquired techniques to fish inshore or offshore on their choice of a group boat, flats boat or sportfishing boat.

The "No-Yelling School of Fishing" Curriculum

Known as the "No-Yelling School of Fishing," this award-winning seminar for women will kick off on Friday, November 12 with a meet-and-greet networking social featuring a cash bar, raffle and silent auction for registrants and guests.

Saturday's events begin with classroom presentations on offshore, bottom, inshore and fly fishing, followed by lunch and hands-on fishing skills. Slated to share their knowledge are Captains Jim Anson, Lee Lavery and Skip Bradeen. Skills such as releasing, conservation, knot tying, bait rigging, spin and net casting, gaffing grapefruits, trailer backing, boat handling, and stand-up fish fighting techniques will be taught.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will educate seminar participants on the importance of marine conservation by showing the habits that can be developed so each person can make a difference, no matter where they fish. Women will also learn safe hook removal, release techniques and more.

The day is capped by a silent auction, followed by food, music and fun with artist Pasta Pantaleo at his new Signature Gallery, MM 81.5 ocean side in a historical Red Cross home.

On Sunday, ladies embark on a half-day fishing adventure (optional and for additional fee) followed by a fish fillet demonstration. Women can opt to sign up a male guest on boats that take only two (inshore/flats) and group boat (party boat) trips only.

Featured on national network television, the seminar series is held in conjunction with the FWC through the Sport Fish Restoration Program, with major partners such as Mercury Outboards, Ranger, BoatUS Angler Insurance, Gulfstream International Airlines, Minn Kota, Humminbird and Magic Tilt Trailers.

Seminar registration is $115 up to a week before the event ($135 thereafter) and includes instruction, use of equipment, hands-on training, networking reception and silent auction, meals, goody bags and more. Holiday Isle is at MM 84.5, ocean side in Islamorada. To register or for more information go to:www.LadiesLetsGoFishing.com or call (954) 475-9068; email: info@ladiesletsgofishing.com.
