Although it's been quiet on the Destin Harbor this winter, pontoon rental companies have been busy behind the scenes in anticipation for a busy 2012 tourist season. Several pontoon rental companies are adding new boats to their to fleet in order to accommodate the increase in tourist traffic on the Destin Harbor. The 2011 tourist season was much busier than expected prompting local businesses to prepare for next season.

SEA Chase Watersports opened their doors in 2011 and had a suprisingly successful first year. Owner and operator Sherri Andrews went through her first year with 8 boats, but will be adding 4 more to her fleet in 2012. She claims that her success is due to great service and value added rentals.

TripShock.com recommends that visitors that are planning a vacation in Destin should book their pontoon rental online before they arrive to insure availability. Pontoon rental costs will start at $275 for a 4 hour rental and $400 for an 8 hour rental.
