PDB Tested: Chaco Sandals

August 2013 PDB Tested

Before escaping the office for a summer boat show, I went in search for a pair of flip flops that would be both professional looking as well as comfy. When it comes to ladies footwear, we know it's not always possible to have both.

I decided to contact Chaco because every Chaco flip is built on the APMA (American Podiatric Medial Association) approved LUVSEAT platform that hugs the foot to properly align the body for extra support and a comfortable ride. Okay, so I actually didn't know that, but I thought it would important to mention.

Chaco's EcoTread is a non-marking and the outsoles are made with 25 percent recycled content to leave a minimal footprint, which is nice. For $80 I ordered a pair of women's Leather Flippa EcoTread that are crafted from supple full-grain leather.

After walking the three-day show I was quite pleased with the comfortable fit and feel on the leather lined footbed, plus more importantly, I love the look. A guy version is available, but I doubt it would be as good-looking as my pair.
