Quick Pressure Tire Pressure Monitors: PDB TESTED No. 183

November 2015 PDB Tested Brady L. Kay

Red means stop and green means go. It’s really as simple as that and it’s something we’ve all grown up with since we were old enough to notice traffic lights. The idea behind this product is a tire pressure monitoring system that provides you with a quick tire pressure check by simply looking at your valve stem.

If you see red, add air immediately. If you see green, you have the proper air pressure and you’re good to go. The installation couldn’t be easier since no tools are required. Just unscrew the cap on your valve stem and twist on the one from Quick Pressure. The manufacturer recommends using soapy water to ensure a proper seal between the valve stem and monitor, but it’s really that easy.

Before ordering you need to find out what your desired tire pressure is by either looking on your tires or the sticker that you’ll find on the inside of most truck doors. The company also makes versions for your boat trailer, which is where this product really comes in handy.

Sometimes the simplest ideas work the best. The manufacturer offers a wide PSI range for most truck and trailers and you’re looking at $6.75 for one monitor cap or $27 for a set of four.
