Comfort Of The Caribbean

April 2017

When you’ve been in business since the 1950s, you tend to learn a thing or two not only about how to run things, but also how to make a quality product. Crest Pontoons has been building quality pontoons since 1957, when Maurice Shell designed and built one of the first pontoons ever. Since then, they have gained a reputation for being over-built and introducing innovations that would soon become standards across the industry. True to form, Crest’s latest model is an exceptional piece of work that we couldn’t get enough of.

The Crest Caribbean 250 L is a fantastic boat that we were lucky enough to get our hands on for an afternoon. The Caribbean line was first introduced in the 90s and continues to be one of Crest’s top boats and represents the culmination of their experience and innovation. Some standard features include two 25-inch CP3 round tubes, a 26-inch round center tube, an aluminum underskin, lifting strakes, SeaStar hydraulic steering, a deluxe aluminum ski/tow bar, an integrated transom, and a 52-gallon fuel tank. That’s just for starters!
