First Impression

There appears to be a dominant color theme to the interior with different shades of grey that is tied into everything from the weave vinyl flooring to the two-toned furniture and even extends to the color-matched Evinrude on the back. It just makes the boat feel complete and purpose-built.

Breakdown

The exterior two-tone paneling consisting of graphite and wine colors ties in perfectly with the interior that we like so much. There is a very symmetrical look to the floorplan that begins with the chaise lounges with movable armrests in the bow, moves to the identical high-back helm and first-mate chairs that slide, swivel and recline, then concludes with rear-facing loungers that mirror each other.

Take a closer look at the Veada Premium furniture and you can appreciate the different patterns and textures in the gray vinyl colors that tie in perfectly with the helm console. The row of analog gauges is the focal point of the dash with well-labeled rocker switches below. On the left side of the steering wheel is access to the Kicker stereo system that includes a total of six speakers and on the right side is where you’ll find the 12-volt outlet and USB/Auxiliary port. The two lighted cupholders for the captain are a nice added touch and keeping up the symmetrical look, the first mate has two identical lighted cupholders as well.

We love the look and feel of the full weave vinyl flooring that is soft on your feet, yet easy to clean up. It’s also worth noting that the in-floor ski locker is over 15 inches deep and nearly 7 feet long and the 10-foot Bimini with a new anodized frame shades a large section of the boat.

We consider the rear-facing loungers to serve a dual purpose with padding on each end so you can choose to sit forward or reverse. Below each lounge is ample storage; in fact, this boat does a great job of providing plenty of room to store your gear.

Outside the stern gate is a good-sized swim deck that includes a Pro Series stainless steel ski/tow bar with a matching stainless boarding ladder. There is also stereo remote back here along with two rear-facing speakers.

Inspection

Three 25-inch diameter pontoons are the base of this 23-footer with lifting strakes on both sides of the center tube and on the insides of the outer tubes. Plus for added performance, there is an optional full-length aluminum performance shield.

Up top there are three lift-and-lock gates and the hammered powder-coated rail height around the perimeter is a very family-friendly height of nearly 28 inches tall with the stern dropping down to 21 inches. From the bow gate to the stern gate there is nearly 19 feet of usable deck space and overall this boat earned high marks for quality construction and for its fit and finish work.

Handling

Thanks to the combination of the performance hull and the Evinrude 250hp G2 E-TEC outboard, we just missed the 50 mph mark at full throttle. She banks beautifully in the tight turns and because she is so responsive with the SeaStar hydraulic steering, this Misty Harbor really is a fun boat to drive.

Final Thoughts

As we took a closer look we seemed to discover more and more added touches that help make this boat feel unique. With the right balance of standard features and key upgrades and amenities this Skye S-2385 SR proves to have a lot of added value to it and when you combine the maximum horsepower you’re left with a winning combination.

Why we love this boat…Strong fit and finish work and quality construction are the backbone of this beautiful pontoon that includes plush seating and great layout.

Just being picky…There’s not a lot of room to really stretch out on the portside bow chaise lounge in front of the helm stand, but that’s really the only knock on this layout.
