After much discussion, as an editorial staff we've decided to follow suit. Over the years we've allowed it to continue against better judgment and now we feel the change is necessary. This wasn't an easy decision, but I've discussed this with my advisers and moderators and we've decided this is best for the forum.

This is a pontoon and deck boat enthusiast forum, not an Off Topic-based platform for political talk. Our Off Topic section will still be a part of our site, but we would ask you to please refrain from discussing politics in this section or any other section on the PDB Forum. If you'd like to talk politics, please visit www.politico.com.

This change will go into effect immediately; we appreciate your support and understanding. Please help us by clicking on the "report to moderator" link for all new political posts or updates as well as political statements in signatures and avatars. Together we feel we can improve this forum and shift the main focus back to boating.
