    Nashville, TN, February 9, 2012 – TRAC Outdoor Products introduces the TRAC® Vehicle Wiring Kit. It is “Everything you need to wire your vehicle for high-current (60 amp) 12 volt power”. With this new and unique introduction,TRAC is addressing its #1 customer inquiry – help me wire my vehicle to get power to my TRAC® Electric Trailer Winch. “We do some of our best development work when we hear that our consumers have unfulfilled needs,” says Tom Rogers, President and Owner of TRAC Outdoor Products.

    TRAC® Vehicle Wiring Kit is focused on helping the do-it-yourselfer conveniently and easily wire their vehicle. The kit features the new TRAC® Quick-Connect System with lock-tight and water resistant plugs with caps. The 12 volt high-current power connection can be used for a trailer winch, portable winch and any other 12 volt device, up to 60 amps.

    The new TRAC® Vehicle Wiring Kit includes:

    • TRAC® 12v high-current Quick-Connect system:

      • 2 Quick-Connect plugs (one for rear of vehicle and one for trailer winch or any other 12v device)

      • 1-½” Round Hole Adaptor (for installation on flat panel – option 1)

      • U-bracket (for installation on flat surface – option 2)

    • 25’ Heavy 8-gauge AWG Tin-Plated Marine-Grade Positive (red) Battery Wire

    • 5’ Heavy 8-gauge AWG Tin-Plated Marine-Grade Negative (black) Battery Wire

    • Corrosion resistant self-tapping grounding bolt to attach negative wire to vehicle frame

    • High-current 60 amp Manual Resetting Circuit Breaker

    • 10 Cable ties to secure wires to vehicle


    This new product for 2012 comes with TRAC Outdoor Products’ standard 2 year warranty, and of course, installation instructions to wire your vehicle similar to the illustration below:

    The TRAC® Vehicle Wiring Kit is not part of the TRAC® Trailer Winch packages because not everyone needs the extra assistance and TRAC Outdoor Products focuses on keeping pricing as low as possible.
