Southern Star Mfg LLC was established on Aug. 23, 2002 and acquired all assets of Southern Star Marine and Industrial Fabrication, Inc. on Sept. 12,2002. Bob Holmes, the owner of the acquired company, has over 35 years experience in the boat industry and has been manufacturing boats since 1979. He is currently under contract with Southern Star Mfg LLC to provide consulting and sales services. Southern Star Mfg LLC manufactures three lines of boats under the Southern Star brand name: fiberglass pontoon boats from 16 ft. to 48 ft., center console boats from 16ft. to 24 ft., and I/O Bow Rider boats from 17 ft. to 20 ft. Southern Star Mfg LLC also builds boat trailers, performs fiberglass hull repair, performs custom fiberglass fabrication such as aquaculture tanks (sizes around 20’ x 4’ x 4’), manufactures fiberglass concrete column forms, and performs industrial fiberglass work such as on-site pipe repair and fiberglass tank repair
