| Triton Boats of Ashland City, Tenn. has quickly assumed a leadership position in the highly competitive fishing and pontoon boat industries. Earl Bentz, founder and a world-champion driver for the Mercury Racing Team, has a crystal clear mission to build the world’s finest pontoon and deck boats. Triton’s Research and Development department continually strives to refine its product, and keeps Triton at the forefront of innovation and cutting-edge design. This is evident because manufacturing began in a renovated 95,000 square foot facility in Aberdeen, Miss. Consumer and dealer demand was so great, Triton recently upgraded to a 205,000 square foot facility. Today Triton has addressed the rapidly expanding pontoon and deck boat market with 24 Summit pontoon models ranging from 18- to 28-feet, as well as an all-new 20-foot, three-inch Spirit aluminum deck boat. Rock-solid, state-of-the-art construction is a Triton hallmark. Hulls feature all-welded construction and extra-tough .100-gauge aluminum. Cylinders are separated by baffles. Decking is either seven-ply pressure-treated plywood or fiberglass-reinforced composite, both with a limited lifetime warranty. Pontoon rails are a full one-and-one-quarter inches wide for exceptional strength, and are elevated to allow water to drain off the deck. Structural components that aren’t welded are attached with stainless steel bolts and locking nuts. Transoms are overbuilt to handle the weight and stress of today’s heavier direct-injected and four-stroke outboards. Several Summit fishing pontoon models are available. These come equipped with pedestal fishing seats, an aerated livewell, a Lowrance fish finder and other fishing equipment. Interior appointments combine ergonomic functionality and durability with luxury and style. Consoles are molded fiberglass and designed for ease of entry and exit. Molded seat bases are self-draining, and only top-quality carpet and marine vinyls are used throughout.
