Crest is undoubtedly one of the most—if not the most—respected pontoon manufacturers in the market. It boasts a model lineup larger than many of its competitors put together, and its quality is impeccable. Next year marks 50 years that Maurell Products has manufactured Crest Pontoons. This is still a family owned business now in the capable hands of the second generation. Crest has always offered superior construction. Through bolted decks, four corner box-shaped cross members, and long “M” brackets with full-length welds. If that weren’t enough, Crest also has individually sealed, airtight and pressurized chambers in each pontoon log, four per log, and eight per boat. Even more impressive is that you would expect such a large company as this to be too big for its own britches. Inflexibility and red tape seem to plague similar mega-builders. Not so here. Crest appears to be just the opposite. Each pontoon is custom-made giving the phrase “personal touch” a mega-meaning. For 2006, Crest is proud to introduce the new Savannah LST and LSTX; Crest Upper Sundeck; Wakeboard Towers and more. Crest is based in Michigan, has a nation-wide network of over 200 dealers, and offers dozens of models to get you started.
