TowBoatU.S. Reopens in Florida

May 2006 News

TowBoatU.S., an on-the-water towing service for recreational boaters, reopened TowBoatU.S. Panama City, Fla.

Capt. Andrew Adams, who owns TowBoatU.S. Destin, Fla., is the new owner of the location. His father, Capt. Victor Adams, will manage the second port.

TowBoatU.S. Panama City has vessels stationed in the area. A 32-foot former Coast Guard patrol vessel is stationed at St. Andrews Marina, and a 35-foot Bettina with twin diesels is located at Massalina Bayou.

The Panama City location covers Port St. Joe, including Cape San Blas and Mexico Beach, as well as Panama City and Panama City Beach.

The towing service is offered through BoatU.S., the Boat Owners Association of the United States. Boat U.S. has 650,000 members, insures nearly a quarter of a million boats and operates a fleet of more than 500 towing assistance vessels.
