Suzuki Commits to Education

June 2006 News

Suzuki Marine joined the Marine Design Resource Alliance, a nonprofit group committed to advancing the future of recreational boating.

"This invitation into the MDRA places Suzuki in an elite group of CEOs who have the power to influence the marine industry significantly," Gus Blakely, manager, Boat Builders Group, Suzuki, said in a statement. "We all bring something very unique and powerful to the table and it will be exciting to see those talents come together to foster such a positive cause."

A key initiative of the organization is the MDRA Boating Leaders Scholarship Program, designed to further the education of design students throughout the world.

The MDRA also hosts The Annual Creative Conference, which provides industry leaders with the opportunity to hear experts on future trends, share ideas and discuss ways of improving the industry.

Suzuki Marine is a leader in four-stroke outboard engine technology.
