Because of an increasing demand for Tohatsu outboards in Puerto Rico, the company selected Blue Water Marine as its new distributor.
"We were impressed by the very favorable consumer feedback out there on Tohatsu outboards and that's why we chose to add Tohatsu to our lineup," Karlos Rosario, general manager of Blue Water Marine, said in a statement.
Blue Water Marine sells boat lines such as Scout Boats, Polar Boats and Ocean Yachts.
This is TAC's second major expansion in recent months. In October, the company announced it was bringing the Tohatsu brand to Canada.
Tohatsu America Corp. is the distributor of Tohatsu and Nissan Marine outboard motors in the United States and Canada. The company is owned and managed by Japan-based Tohatsu Corp.
