Try your Luck at the Seattle Show

December 2006 News

Free boating supplies for life and a 20-foot Chris Craft Speedster are two of the prizes expected to be given away during next month's Seattle Boat Show, which runs from Jan. 25 - Feb. 3 at Qwest Field Event Center and South Lake Union.

The four types of watercraft that have appeared in James Bond films will be on display at the Seattle Boat Show. Attendees can enter the Bond Trivia Contest and have a chance to win the boating supplies.

The contest winner will receive $1,000 each year to spend at Boater's World stores for the rest of his/her life, as long as he/she remains a boat owner. The payout ends when it reaches $75,000.

All Seattle Boat Show contests are open to attendees 21 years or older - meaning the Boater's World contest has the potential of paying out until the year 2082.

Also during the 10-day event, a 20-foot Chris Craft Speedster will rotate continuously in a pool of water. The lucky showgoer who correctly guesses the boat's final compass heading when the show closes on its final day will win the $44,000 Speedster from Sundance Yacht Sales.

"Both the Boater's World and Chris Craft giveaways have definitely raised the bar as far as giveaways go at a boat show," George Harris, boat show director, said in a statement. "The Seattle Boat Show has been a tremendous part of this community since 1947. It's fitting that in the sixtieth anniversary year of the show, we are able to giveaway prizes of this magnitude to Northwest boaters."
