GM To Deal With Dealers

March 2007 News

Brunswick Corp. has reached an agreement with General Motors to provide discount prices on automobiles to qualified marine dealers.

To qualify, the dealerships carrying Brunswick boats or engines must achieve the platinum level in Brunswick's Dealer Advantage program. Those dealers can qualify to receive discounted pricing on eligible new and unused General Motors vehicles. That includes 2006, 2007 and 2008 passenger cars, sport utility vehicles, vans and light-duty trucks.

General Motor brands include Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Saturn, Hummer, Saab and Cadillac. The Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Hummer H1 and medium duty vehicles are excluded from the program.

"This recent addition - the GM supplier discount - can help qualified dealers reduce expenses when it comes to purchasing vehicles for company or personal use," CEO Dusty McCoy said in a statement. "Equally important is that qualifying dealers can share this benefit with their employees so they can buy cars or trucks for their personal use at attractive prices."

Platinum is the highest level of the Dealer Advantage program. The stronger the partnership with Brunswick, the higher the dealership's level of eligibility and the more benefits they can access. The level of partnership is determined by the percentage of Brunswick products a dealership sells, compared to other brands. The program also has a silver and gold level of participation.

All U.S.-based marine dealerships that are in good standing and carry a Brunswick-owned boat line and/or Mercury Marine engines are eligible at the baseline silver level. There is no cost to participate.

Other benefits include real estate advisory services, discounted rates on office supplies, credit card processing, wireless phone service, discounted pricing on technology products, small package delivery.

Dealers can learn more about the program by visiting www.brunswickdealeradvantage.com. Dealers can also register to attend a Dealer Advantage meeting by calling (877) 462-3884.
