Search Engine For Boaters

April 2007 News

Product seekers have a new way of finding what they need. Products consultancy Home Port Marine Marketing, in cooperation with Google, has launched NautSource - a search engine exclusively for boating products.

It can be found on the Web at http://www.nautsource.com/.

"With over 2,000 manufacturer, distributor and retailer Web sites already in the NautSource database and Google's leading search engine technology, we've developed a simple, very user-friendly way for the marine industry and boaters to quickly find just about any boating product," David Pilvelait, COO of Home Port Marine Marketing, said in a statement.

Product manufacturers, distributors and retailers can get a free listing for their Web site in the NautSource database by sending an e-mail to sitelist@nautsource.com. NautSource also offers paid, top-of-the-page sponsored search links to help suppliers promote products in relevant search categories.

Trade and consumer visitors to the site can sign up to receive monthly new-product alerts by e-mail. Boaters also can participate in a monthly survey, which will help the industry track purchases of equipment and accessories.

For more information about NautSource, visit the Web site or e-mail info@nautsource.com.

Kilmarnock, Va.-based Home Port Marine Marketing is headed by former BoatU.S. executives David Pilvelait and Jim Georgiadis.
