Lazy Days Marina Sold

May 2007 News

Lazy Days is a 28-acre marina located on Lake Sidney Lanier, which boasts more than 7.5 million visitors a year.

"Lazy Days is a great example of the caliber of marina we are interested in as we continue to grow our portfolio. It has been in operation for more than 30 years and is one of the premier marinas in Georgia," Andrew Sturner, founder and CEO of Aqua Marine Partners, said in a statement.

Lazy Days offers dry stack storage for more than 550 boats, storage for 270 trailers on racks and courtesy docks for more than 150 boats. The marina also includes 49 luxury floating docks.

"We have already begun a $3 million capital expansion project that will include new dry stack storage for boats up to 35 feet, new state-of-the-art wet slips for houseboats measuring up to 150 feet, a new sales dock and a new service shop and upgraded amenities," Sturner said.

In South Florida, AMP is redeveloping historic Hi-Lift Marina into a state-of-the-art Vertical Yacht Club.  This project in Aventura will be the flagship for a network of Vertical Yacht Clubs that Aqua Marine Partners is developing throughout the U.S. and abroad.
