Minn Kota and Humminbird Launch "Club Crashers" Promotion

January 2008 News
The Web-based promotion also includes the chance for registrants to win products from Minn Kota and Humminbird. The total value of product prize drawings is nearly $15,000. Two lucky clubs will be awarded grand prizes, one having Hank Parker and the other Al Lindner, who will participate in club activities for a day. The celebrity they choose could conduct a seminar, serve as master of ceremonies for a banquet or host a tournament weigh-in, among others.
"Anything we can do to support anglers who are advocates of the sport, especially fishing club members, will help grow fishing participation," said Judy Douglas, Director of Marketing. "We are very fortunate to be partners with such legendary anglers as Hank and Al who will pump a lot of energy into this exciting promotion."
Hank and Al were actively involved with local fishing clubs early in their careers and understand the role clubs play in fostering the sport of fishing.
"Joining a club is the fastest way possible for any angler to learn how to become a better fisherman," Lindner said. "There's no better way to advance your skills. Of course, another benefit is the friendships that come from being active in a club. Those are friendships that will last a lifetime."
Parker noted that clubs are responsible for many facets of the sport beyond simply fishing. "They help get important legislation passed, clean waterways and get youth programs off the ground.  Without the clubs, there really would be no action, it would all be lip service," said Parker.
To become eligible for the grand prize or product prizes, club members simply complete a registration form online at www.clubcrashers.com. The grand prize will be drawn on June 16, 2008.  In addition to the grand prize, registrants are eligible to win products from Minn Kota and Humminbird including Maxxum Pro and Terrova trolling motors along with the 797c2i SI Combo fishfinder featuring Side Imaging technology. Product prizes will be selected randomly twice a month. Registration takes place now through June 15, 2008.
