Senior executives retire from Mercury Marine

May 2008 News

Hubbard, 64, has worked for Brunswick Corp., Mercury's parent company, for 36 years. He joined Brunswick in June 1968, later taking four years off to further his education before working in several Brunswick businesses as a human resources professional and labor attorney. In 1990, he was named vice president of human resources at Mercury. He was named chief of staff in 1992.

Pomeroy, 57, joined Mercury in 1987 as staff counsel after 11 years in private practice. A Valparaiso University School of Law graduate, he was appointed general counsel and vice president of law for Mercury in 1992.

Some of Mercury's most important legal events have occurred during Pomeroy's tenure, including the IBBI antitrust litigation, numerous acquisitions and joint ventures in the United States and abroad, Mercury's "dumping" challenge against the Japanese outboard industry and a number of other key issues.

Todd C. Lemke succeeds Pomeroy as Mercury's general counsel. He joined Mercury Marine in 1991 as a staff attorney, following seven years in private practice.

Lemke was promoted to assistant general counsel in 2004. He has been involved in all aspects of Mercury's business, including litigation. In addition, Lemke has represented Mercury Marine with a number of marine industry associations and regulators, including the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

Lemke received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio's Denison University and a law degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
