Consumers Digest credits Yamaha outboards

July 2008 News

"We are pleased the editors of Consumers Digest have chosen the V MAX Series 2," said Dale Barnes, Yamaha Marine Group marketing division manager, in a statement. "Yamaha is particularly proud to be the only brand recognized in the 200hp-and-up category. This is an endorsement for the efforts we have made to refine and improve our V MAX line."

The editors of Consumers Digest considered design, efficiency, performance and price when determining the ratings.

"During our testing, this engine took a 21-foot bass boat from zero to 30 mph in three seconds and to 70 mph in about 15 seconds," said the editors of Consumers Digest of the V MAX Series 2 VZ250.

Based in Kennesaw, Ga., Yamaha Marine products are marketed throughout the world.
