Sea Ray dealerships to celebrate AquaPalooza

July 2008 News

Sea Ray and its dealers will officially start AquaPalooza stateside July 18-20 at the signature event in Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. Hosted by MarineMax Lake Ozark, MarineMax Osage Beach and MarineMax Laurie, it will feature food, drinks, music, games, giveaways and more. Multi-platinum rockers Cracker, Soul Asylum and Everclear will perform live on the main stage July 19 at the Coconuts Caribbean Beach Bar & Grill; and 1980s radio legend Eddie Money will perform live at The Horny Toad in Lake Ozark.

For those who can't make it to Lake of the Ozarks, Sea Ray dealerships throughout the world will transform 150 additional locations into official AquaPalooza party sites. Most of this year's festivities will take place during the last two weekends in July, but other events are planned before and after these dates.

In fact, the first AquaPalooza event of the year recently took place in Cancún, Mexico. The event attracted 23 boats and 140 participants for a one day-cruise to Isla Mujeres complete with food, beverages and music.

As of July 6, more than 38,000 guests and 8,200 boats had registered for an AquaPalooza event. This represents a 110 percent increase in registrations versus 2007 year-to-date figures. Last year, AquaPalooza attracted more than 10,000 boats and 30,000 guests to 120 events worldwide.

Originally created in 2006 as a Sea Ray Owners Club event, Aquapalooza has become a boating celebration welcoming all boaters, regardless of the boat brand they own.
