Central Texas Boat Show next weekend in Belton

The largest boat show in Central Texas is Jan. 8-10 at the Bell County Expo Center in Belton.

The show will be open from noon to 9 p.m. Jan. 8, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Jan. 9 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 10.

Bass boats, ski boats, party boats, pontoon boats, bay boats, deck boats and personal watercraft will all be on display from Bayliner, Bass Cat, Blue Wave, Bullet, Chaparral, Crowneline, Cypress Cay, Glastron, Evinrude Outboards, G3, Hurricane, Larson, Legend, Lowe, Premier, Mercury, Mercruiser, NauticStar, PartiKraft, Ranger, Rolco Trailers, SeaArk, Skeeter, Sweetwater, Stingray, Stratos, Triton, Yamaha Outboards, Yamaha Sport Boats and Wave Runners. Marine Dealers participating in this year's show include Marine Outlet of Temple, Texas Boat World of Harker Heights, Marineland Boating Center of Waco, and Yowell's Boat Yard of Waco.

Adult tickets are just $5. Children 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a paid adult. Parking is free.

Jan. 8 is Military Appreciation Day. Active-duty military and their dependents get in free with military ID.

From noon to 6 p.m. Jan. 8 the Scott & White Blood Mobile will be at the Expo Center. Anyone donating blood will receive a free VIP pass for the boat show.

Seminars during the show include Bass Pro Keith Combs and Crappie expert Tommy Tidwell. Each seminar will provide information and secrets that can only be learned by spending countless hours on the water.

Kid-Fish fishing will be available all three days of the show.

TuffMan Championship Weigh-in begins at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 9. The winning team will receive $10,000.
