Crowds come out for Jersey show

May 2010 News

The recent Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo saw a 75 percent increase in attendance over the inaugural show held last September, according to organizers.

About 2,800 people attended the show, which was held May 14-16 at FirstEnergy Park and organized by the Marine Trades Association of New Jersey.

"Feedback from the show so far has been great both from the consumers and exhibitors, and we are very pleased with the results," said Melissa Danko, MTA/NJ executive director, in a statement. "The reality is it is still tough out there, so the fact that attendance significantly increased and both new and preowned boats were sold is very promising. The future of the Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo is extremely bright."

Close to 100 boats were on display at the show and the stadium concourse was filled with vendors representing a variety of products and services.
