Five rescued from river after boat flip

July 2010 News
Five people were rescued from the St. Clair River near the Blue Water Bridge when a boat capsized at about 3:15 p.m. Sunday. The five people, at least two who appeared to be about 12 years old, would not comment about the situation, other than they were in a 22-foot deck boat. They also thanked the Lakes Pilots Association, which had a boat in the area at the time and rescued them. Port Huron Fire Department officials, who were assisted on the rescue, said no one was injured.
