Yamaha unveils new dealer incentives

August 2010 News

Yamaha Marine Group said yesterday that it's offering its dealers a package consisting of a retail bonus coupon program and a retail sales growth bonus program to help grow retail sales and boost profitability.

The "Buy Now" Retail Bonus Coupon Program issues coupons to authorized participating Yamaha dealers who warranty-registered a minimum of 15 Yamaha outboards from July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2010.

The program is effective Aug. 1 through Dec. 17.

"This program rewards dealers by giving them a powerful closing tool that can be used to sell either a Yamaha outboard or a Yamaha outboard-powered boat," said John Rigsby, national sales manager of Kennesaw, Ga.-based Yamaha Marine Group, in a statement.

Additional Yamaha Outboard Retail Bonus coupons will be issued to authorized participating Yamaha full-line dealers who place qualified initial orders on the Yamaha Fall Stocking Program, effective July 1, 2010.

To complement the coupon program, Yamaha is rewarding dealers that grow retail sales by 20 percent in program year 2010 by adding bonus dollars to the Outboard Retail Sales Bonus Program for payment period number two.

If the total volume of qualified and eligible outboards retail-registered by the dealer from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2010, is 20 percent greater than the total volume of qualified and eligible outboards retail-registered from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2009, the dealer is eligible for the Twenty/Twenty Retail Sales Growth Bonus Program.
