Brunswick announces personnel changes

October 2010 News

The Brunswick Boat Group announced leadership changes at two of its brands - Boston Whaler and Crestliner.

Ben Cast will become president of Crestliner Boats and Jeff Vaughn will succeed Cast as vice president of sales, marketing and customer service at Boston Whaler. The changes take effect Nov. 1.

Cast, who has been with Brunswick since 2005, will succeed Bryan Burns, who is leaving Brunswick for a job in the Little Falls, Minn., area. Cast will report to Jeff Kinsey, president of aluminum and pontoon boats, and will be responsible for all aspects of Crestliner operations as part of his new duties. Cast will be based in Little Falls.

"The leadership and focus employed over the past several years with our dealers and Crestliner customers have led to an improved product, better marketing and a more competitive cost position for Crestliner," Kinsey said. "Ben is assuming leadership of a brand growing stronger every day, and with his skills and experience he will be able to continue that growth."

Vaughn has been with Brunswick for 16 years. He began at Boston Whaler, where he was a regional sales manager for three years before a promotion to vice president of sales, a position he held for five years.

Vaughn since has worked as a vice president of sales and marketing for the Brunswick Boat Group and has represented several brands, including Boston Whaler, Triton, Trophy, Bayliner and Sea Pro.

He most recently was regional vice president of sales for US Marine and Outboard Boats. In his new role, Vaughn will report to John Ward, president of Boston Whaler in Edgewater, Fla.
