How-to marina guide released

November 2010 News

Marina industry veteran Simon Arrol released The Marina Manual, an A-to-Z guide on how to efficiently set up, administer and operate a marina.

Arrol headed Camper & Nicholsons Marinas for 16 years and later became a founding director of Island Global Yachting in Dubai.

The Marina Manual contains a comprehensive system that has been developed across various countries during a 20-year period. Volume I covers every aspect of marina administration and operations; Volume II provides almost every form, contract, checklist and employment document needed to administer and operate a marina.

"I designed the manual with ease of use in mind to appeal to as wide an audience as possible. It will hopefully be useful at all sorts of stages, but particularly at the inception of a new marina," Arrol said in a statement. "I believe The Marina Manual is the best business checklist you can buy and marks a significant event for the international marina sector."

The Marina Manual will be available for viewing at the Marina World magazine stand at METS, which runs from Nov. 16-18 in Amsterdam.
