BRP wins PWC awards at boat show

February 2011 News
BRP took home four awards from the Miami International Boat Show, which ran Feb. 17-21.

The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) awarded its Innovation Award for PWC, Jet Boats and Pontoon Boats to BRP for the 2011 Sea-Doo GTI 130 watercraft. The model also won the 2011 PWC of the Year Award given by PWC enthusiast forum PWCToday.com and marine journalist and Powersports Business contributor Jeff Hemmel. It was also awarded an Excellence in Design prize by Trailer Boats magazine. That magazine also gave BRP an Excellence in Design award for the Sea-Doo 230 SP boat.

"These four awards are a tribute to BRP's commitment to moving the marine industry forward and providing another level of safety; best exemplified by the introduction of the only on-water intelligent brake & reverse (iBR) system to a wider range of Sea-Doo models from entry-level to luxury performance," Yves Leduc, vice president and general manager of BRP's North America division, said in a press release.
