NMMA reports more strong show attendance

February 2011 News

\The National Marine Manufacturers Association is reporting more good news from its boat and sportshows, with the Louisville Boat, RV & Sportshow, Strictly Sail Chicago Boat Show, and Baltimore Boat Show boasting strong crowds and reports of solid sales.

According to the group, attendance at the Louisville Boat, RV & Sportshow was up 9 percent over last year at 37,589, with "many exhibitors reporting it was the best show they'd had in years."

Strictly Sail Chicago was up 2 percent at 15,490.

Finally, despite the heavy snowstorm that hit Baltimore opening day of the show, and which severely impacted weekday attendance according to NMMA, weekend attendance spiked significantly and the show closed even with 2010 attendance (14,055).
