Yamaha unveils offshore demo-ride schedule

February 2011 News

Yamaha Marine Group announced the 2011 schedule for its V6 Offshore Demo tour, a national program consisting of high-performance demo rides designed to show the benefits of Yamaha's line of 4.2-liter V6 offshore outboards.

"The V6 Offshore models need to be experienced to be appreciated," said Dale Barnes, Yamaha Marine Group division manager of marketing, in a statement. "The mid-range punch is incredible. Customers need to feel it and we are hoping they come out to do that."

The 2011 Yamaha Discover V6 Offshore Demo tour debuts Feb. 17 during the Miami International Boat Show at the Sea Isle Marina & Yachting Center.

Yamaha is offering a special promotion for a limited time in conjunction with the tour. The first 100 people each day who take advantage of the demo ride will receive a voucher good for a one-year Yamaha extended service contract with an MSRP value of as much as $1,500.

The voucher can be redeemed only after the customer has purchased a new 4.2-liter V6 Offshore outboard.
