Torqeedo signs deal with electric-boat builder

May 2011 News

Torqeedo is partnering with ElectraCraft, a leading builder of electric powerboats, whose new 14CSv is designed for the Torqeedo Cruise 2.0 motor.

"With more and more residential and private lakes restricting gas-powered engines, we wanted to build a smaller boat to better fit the smaller, green lakes. We designed this boat specifically for use with the Torqeedo electric motor, which was the best fit for this application," ElectraCraft's Skip Toller said in a statement. "The 14CSv is a little smaller than our other models to accommodate this propulsion option."

For a limited time, the ElectraCraft 14CSv has a starting price of $13,875.
