This weekend is National Marina Day

June 2011 News
WARREN, R.I.- National Marina Day is this weekend, and more than 125 marinas representing 29 states have registered for the event, according to a release from the Association of Marina Industries, which manages the event.

Participating marinas in 2011 National Marina Day hold various activities that promote the marina lifestyle and joy of boating, according to the release.

Although the largest concentration of participating marinas stays in Florida, more marinas in the Midwest and West United States have registered this year compared to past years. Example activities at the marinas are free boat rides, opportunities to learn to kayak and sail, and boat races.
