Hybrid propulsion conference to precede METS

July 2011 News

The International Council of Marine Industry Associations is hosting its first International Marine Hybrid Propulsion Conference Nov. 14 at The Rai in Amsterdam, prior to the start of the Marine Equipment Trade Show.

The conference will review the technical issues surrounding the design and implementation of marine hybrids and provide objective data on their advantages and disadvantages.

"The marine industry still has much to learn about these technologies," ICOMIA said in a statement. "The presentations will be of interest to anyone considering investing in hybrids including boatbuilders, equipment suppliers, systems integrators and naval architects."
