Blue Wave celebrates 20 years is business

March 2012 News

From the beginning, Blue Wave Boats has been located in central Oklahoma. Roger and Pam Parks started Blue Wave in a 1,500 sq. ft. facility in Checotah.

"We've always had a passion for building boats," said Pam Parks. The Parks, along with their two sons, manage the company, which has been the top selling bay boat in Texas 15 different years.

The Parks have over 40 years of boat building experience.

"It's been in our family since 1954 with Roger's two uncles, father and brothers. In 1992, we had the privilege of starting our own company," Parks said.

With their 39th expansion, Parks Manufacturing is now located in Seminole, Okla., in a 165,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art facility.

In 2010, the Parks family introduced a pontoon line, Silver Wave Pontoons, to the industry. By teaming up with Bill Nickell who has built pontoons for over 25 years, the Parks family was able to combine their many years of experience in the boat building industry to produce a line of high quality pontoons.

"Last summer we celebrated building our 10,000th Blue Wave boat," Roger Parks said. "We find it a huge accomplishment to have grown into the company we are today. And, of course, we're proud to be from this wonderful state."

With the recent launch of a pontoon line, and the continued support from dealers around the country, the Parks family has only high expectations of the future and feels the best is yet to come.
