Rock’n With Kenwood

Published in the February 2013 Issue February 2013 News

Many options are available for boat stereo equipment so you can enjoy the most out of your favorite tunes while out on the water. If you are installing a new system or updating one that hasn’t worked for years, a look at the Kenwood KMR-350U Marine CD receiver is definitely worth your time.

This Kenwood receiver was built for the water. The circuit board is coated with conformal so you can be sure that it can withstand moisture and the harsh conditions that your boat may be in.

One feature that we love about this receiver is the front-panel USB port. With it, you can connect a thumb drive and play thousands of your favorite songs. In addition to that, you can also connect your iPhone and as long as you have 3G service, you can stream your favorite Pandora radio stations. The USB port is powered as well so it can charge your phone while it’s connected.

The receiver also features a detachable face you can store off the boat for added security. It also has a CD player that can read CD-Rs loaded with MP3 and WMA files. On the back of the receiver are four-channel preamp outputs for connecting an amplifier or subwoofer.

Packaging includes a wiring harness and everything else needed for installation. You can also purchase an optional wired marine remote that allows for control from the helm. (www.kenwoodusa.com)
