Replace Your Rub Rail With Ease

Published in the March 2013 Issue March 2013 News

With the proper care and maintenance, a boat can provide a lifetime of fun and recreation. After time, however, a boat's rub rail can be damaged and in need of repair—if not replacement. Mate-USA has created an efficient, high-impact rub rail with a flair for elegance and great value.

The Sphaera fender profile railing offers boaters a chance to re-rail their boat with simplicity at an affordable cost. The Sphaera railing features a 316 L stainless steel outer layer, which has been co-extruded with a shock-proof vinyl chloride core, lowering its weight while retaining equivalent strength to that of traditional railing. This combination allows for the railing to be bent and molded to the shape of the hull without kinking the metal. This system also comes with a semi-rigid PVC base, which comes in pre-cut sizes to ensure there are no unsightly joints.

The Sphaera system comes with pre-drilled stainless bars and is fastened neatly with the included screws. Due to the system being lightweight and easily handled, there is no need for costly pre-bent profiles or installation tools to get the job done. Sphaera rub rail systems come in 1-inch, 1-3/8-inch and 2-inch heights and at various lengths to accommodate a broad range of boats. Not every repair or maintenance task should be difficult and the Sphaera rub rail system has taken the difficulty out of rail installation. More information, including prices and demonstrations, can be viewed on Mate-USA's website. (www.mate-usa.com)
