Buffalo Bayou Holiday Cruise in Houston

For 30 magical minutes, Houstonians can drift down Buffalo Bayou at night on a pontoon boat, thanks to the Buffalo Bayou Partnership's Holiday Boat Cruise. Sit back and watch the city lights flicker on the water. Drink a hot beverage, soak in the music and unwind.

Cruises start at 5 p.m. on Dec. 13, 14 and 21, with the last boat leaving at 7:30 p.m. The voyage starts at Allen's Landing in downtown Houston and are always contingent on weather. The cost is $7 for adults, and $5 for children. Get there early, as they do not take reservations.

For those of us who don't live in Texas, let's move down for the winter. Wouldn't it be nice to live in a place where you could boat all year?
