What's A Quadratoon?

Published in the July 2014 Issue July 2014 News

Like a lot of great ideas, inspiration can strike when you least expect it. Such was the case for Michael O’Neal and Blaine Lawson who were sitting around a campfire looking at their pontoon on a trailer when an idea came to them. Then in a quick 20 months the two friends went from the thought of how to improve a pontoon boat, to an actual prototype on the water. And just like that the Quadratoon was born.

Details on the specifics are still being kept quiet as the two are currently waiting for the right time to officially let the public in on it.

“You may think that Quadratoon is self-explanatory, but it is not. Yes there are suggestions to the name, but there is much more behind our products achievements,” says O’Neal who is the president. “It covers five NMMA award categories; it really is the golden egg.”

While the public is still in the dark on what exactly this new concept is, a few details have been released, including the versatility.

“What makes the Quadratoon so unique is that it applies to brand new pontoons as well as boats that go back 20 years,” says Lawson. “You can breathe new life into your old pontoon, plus it’s affordable too.”
