Crest has created a Classic

February 2015

The fact that there's nothing better than enjoying the warmer months of spring and summer in a boat has been proven over and over again. Just the idea of spending a warm and breezy day on the water is enough to make a grown man as giddy as a child on Christmas morning, but being on the lake in a pontoon is something even more spectacular. If your pontoon just happens to be a Crest Classic 250 or Classic 250 SLE, you have nothing short of perfection. Whatever you can imagine for your fun in the sun, including one of these vessels will surpass any expectation you may have about a memorable summer on the water.

With an overall length of 25 foot, 6 inches and enough room to comfortably accommodate 15 people, the Classic 250 is certainly spacious, making it the perfect pontoon to host guests or bring the extended family on an all-day excursion. The standard two-pontoon model can handle outboards from 150 to 200 horsepower, which gives it enough muscle to easily glide through the water, even when fully occupied. The CP3, or three-pontoon configuration, has a maximum horsepower rating of 300, which would undoubtedly sustain anyone with the urge for extra power and speed in the water.

There are a lot of different reasons to consider a Crest this year if you're either a new customer or an owner looking for an upgrade. The Classic 250 is set up with a more classical design. The seating found onboard is designed to give you and your passengers that maximum amount of comfortable seating space, while still leaving the floor open for people to travel from bow to stern without bumping into anything. The four-chambered pontoon logs are held tightly together by Crest's SS cross members and M-brackets, which give the vessel an irrefutable and unique strength. There is virtually nothing that can't be done in the water, and this is the Classic base model. Having a 25-gallon fuel capacity, the Classic has no qualms with driving from one shore of the lake to another, and with the power of 150 or 200 horsepower behind you, the Classic certainly has a lot of get-up-and-go for you or your thrill-seeking companions.

For owners looking for a comfortable and luxurious way to power through the water, the captain's chair is a high-back reclining expanded back vinyl throne. Guests wishing to switch between casual clothing and swimwear may do so in the changing station. Taking a closer look at this pontoon reveals that many comforts of home are a standard feature; If it's something you need to be happy at home, why should you have to sacrifice it on your boat? Needless to say, passing up a pontoon boat this amazing is not only a bad idea, but could be a costly one when it comes to comfort, fun and amazing memories.

While the Classic 250 provides class, style and comfort in a traditionally tried-and-true configuration, the 250 SLE ups the ante by including a few more key features to really make your pontoon stand above the rest, and certainly be the envy of the lake.

The first thing that any potential buyer is going to notice is the furniture. For people who want to host and really amaze their guests with some luxurious seating, the 250 SLE gets five stars for that. For owners wishing to host parties or quiet, peaceful meals with their guests and family, the bar with four stools provides the perfect atmosphere for a quiet lunch on the water, or refreshment table to combat the hot, lazy days of summer.

The CP2 (two pontoons) configuration offers a maximum of between 150 and 200 horsepower, while the CP3 and CP3 Performance Plus configurations allow for up to 300 horsepower. Worried about the refreshment bar restricting passenger capacity? Well, you shouldn't be. This spacious variation of the Classic model still offers a maximum seating capacity of 15 people, so extended family or group of long-time friends will have plenty of room to sit and enjoy the day.

For the entertainer at night, fisherman by morning, the Classic 250 SLE offers a Hummingbird 385 GPS, speedo, fish/finder combo. If a little bit of romantic music could set the mood for an evening under the stars, do so with the Infinity stereo system, which is Bluetooth ready, equipped with four speakers and guaranteed to make any occasion perfect. The options for this pontoon are many and stretch across the spectrum of possibility. From including a ski/tow bar, to an ottoman/cooler combo, customers are given a complete list of optional additions to make their Classic 250 SLE fully-loaded and one-of-a-kind. Whatever you could be looking for, whatever your lifestyle, the Crest Classic 250 SLE has the bases covered.

There are a lot of different boats, each with its own unique setup and potential. With everything that has flooded the market in recent history, it can be difficult to find the pontoon that gives you that perfect, blissful feeling. That's why Crest developed the Classic lineup. With all of the forward, peremptory thinking that went into design and construction (not to mention the myriad of exciting options), much of what a person could ever want or imagine has not only been thought of, but implemented. Every person is different and the choice may not always be resoundingly clear, but Crest's Classic 250 and Classic 250 SLE models have made the choice a whole lot easier. Do yourself a favor and take a look at all of what Crest has to offer; it could mean the difference between settling on some random boat and being okay, or powering off in a Crest Classic and experiencing the perfect day every time you step aboard.
