BoatUS offers free boating safety lessons

April 2015 News

Are you getting the itch to get your boat back in the water? Got your boat all ready to go? Maybe you just christened your new boat? Put a nice bow on your preparation by taking a boating safety course to ensure you're as safe as you can be out on the water. The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and the BoatUS Foundation for Boating Safety and Clean Water recommend that all boaters take the course to get ready for the season. They've launched the Spring Aboard Campaign, which runs from today until April 26th, to get eveyone interested.

“It’s central to our mission that boating safety education be accessible to anyone, so offering this free course is vitally important to what we do,” said BoatUS Foundation Director of Education, Amanda Pérez. “The Spring Aboard Campaign is a great way to raise awareness.”

Head over to the BoatUS website to get started. The course is free of charge, and is approved in 34 US states.
