Fire In The Hole - Slideshow

Like most boaters who equate open flames on deck with disaster, I was skeptical. At first blush, the Pontoon Firepit, a propane-powered open-fire feature for boats, seemed like a bad—although creative—idea. Once I dug into it and documented the installation of a unit—and witnessed a Firepit in action on the deck of a pontoon boat as it cruised a local lake on a cool shoulder-season evening—I warmed to the idea.
