Not Just A Cooler: Engel USA's rod holder version

April 2015

Getting an armful of rods and reels to a favorite fishing spot can be a challenging task, while cluttering the deck of your boat. Now, thanks to Engel USA’s new Cooler/DryBox with Rod Holders, that trip will be a little easier.

The Engel Cooler/Dry Box with Rod Holders starts with Engel’s 30-quart Cooler/Dry Box that is perfect for a day out on the water. Its UV-resistant outer shell is both durable and rugged and a recessed carry handle and shoulder strap with integrated guides make it easy to grab or to sling over your shoulder, freeing bothhands for more gear.

The standard-sized rod holders don’t just screw into the sidewall of the cooler. Instead, the manufacturer uses a specially-molded bracket that’s attached to the cooler wall from the inside. This bracket provides added strength and rigidity to the cooler, and the rod holders stay firmly attached trip after trip, season after season, without compromising the cooler side walls. Cooler/Dry Box with Rod Holders comes in white or tan for $85. (888-272-9838/www.engel-usa.com)
