50 Years for HydroHoist

May 2015

HydroHoist Marine Group celebrated its 50th anniversary this past August as the market originator of the hydro-pneumatic boat lift. HydroHoist began in 1964 when Henry Rutter, a marina owner, recognized the need for a device to make in-water storage even easier. He patented his hydro-pneumatic system and since then the company has grown.

HydroHoist has been a leading innovator in the industry for years and has expanded its products to include hoists for personal watercraft, houseboats, lake cruisers, sea planes, submarines and military boats.

The hoists are designed to prevent corrosion and deterioration of the framework and can now lift from 1,500 to 120,000 pounds. HydroHoist has also created additional products for boat docking such as the Bow Guide and the Corner Bumpers.

“HydroHoist Marine Group has come a long way in 50 years,” says CEO Mick Webber.

HydroHoist is based out of Claremore, Okla., with distribution centers located throughout the United States and a network of over 600 dealers in over 23 countries. (www.boatlift.com
